Woman's Savings and Loan program

Help a family start a business

Donate

In 2022, Helping Hands International launched a Women's Savings & Loans program in Kenya, largely serving single mothers and widows, using the Biblically based Chalmers' Restore curriculum — a financial training program designed specifically for developing-world contexts.

Over 8–10 months of classes, women learn to save money, encourage one another, and access small loans through their local savings group. Classes are taught by a local Kenyan woman, who earns her living through the program. When women complete the course, Helping Hands matches their savings up to $25 per woman. What began with a handful of women is now active in three regions of Kenya, empowering more than 100 women to build small businesses and bring lasting stability to their families.

We send occasional updates about missions, projects, and opportunities to get involved.
