Feed a Community

Every Saturday, 52 weeks a year, Helping Hands feeds 1,600–1,800 children in the slums of Nairobi. Kids bring their younger siblings along, and no one is turned away. For most of these children, this is the only full meal they'll receive all week.

The program began in 2021 through the Amati Center for Orphans in rural western Kenya, and expanded in 2022 to Nairobi through our partnership with the Watumull Children's Education organization. Beyond the weekly Nairobi feeding, we also provide food for more than 50 families in rural Kenya who have been hit by hardship or disability that makes steady work difficult.

What started as a small feeding effort has grown into a weekly lifeline for over 1,600 people — proof that consistent, simple generosity can meet a need that never takes a week off.
